Yambuk Beach Shack is a tranquil coastal retreat where time slows down and nature takes centre stage. Surrounded by sweeping views of the lake, ocean, and open farmland, this peaceful escape offers a front-row seat to nature in every direction, located on the cusp of the beautiful coastal town of Port Fairy.

Location

Located between the Great Ocean Road and the Shipwreck Coast, our coastal beach house is the perfect accommodation for those looking for a slow stay, immersed in nature. Just a 10-minute drive from Port Fairy, and 40 minutes from Warrnambool and Portland, our beach cottage offers the ideal blend of relaxation, nature, and coastal charm.

The Space

The Shack features two cosy bedrooms and an open-plan living and dining area that captures the relaxed charm of coastal living. The bathroom and laundry are thoughtfully combined for convenience and include a spacious double shower for a touch of indulgence after a day by the sea. Nestled between open paddocks dotted with sheep and cows and the wild southern ocean beyond, the shack offers a true escape to nature. The wrap-around deck invites you to follow the sun, unwind with a cuppa, and soak up the peaceful beauty from every angle.

Everything you need for a laid-back coastal getaway is right at your doorstep. The beach is just a 300-metre stroll from the shack, while the playground, Yambuk Giant Slide, and boat ramp are only 200 metres away, and the lake is a mere 50 metres from your front deck. Spend your days fishing from the jetty, exploring the rockpools, or walking the scenic trail through the sand dunes that leads to the river mouth, where echidnas can often be spotted at dusk. When you’re ready to relax at home, enjoy the collection of board games, books and lawn games provided.

The Shack is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and carefree stay. You’ll find a Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer, along with a split system for both cooling and heating. The outdoor dining spaces provide the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or a glass of wine while taking in the views of the surrounding lake, beach, and paddocks.

Guests will have access to the entire property during their stay. Our shack is kid-friendly; however, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate pets at this time. We appreciate your understanding
